It read "TRQRNCH"... He had also customized it by moving the TDI badge to the center of the hatch.
All-in-all, not a fan of either.

I'm sure he has a garage full of tools to keep it running. That is just his favorite. :)

That's what I figured. In my opinion his vintage of Golf is best left stock, or very close to it, appearance-wise.
