By now, I'm sure everyone has been familiarized with the story of !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! with his Bro Truck. What I don't think everyone has seen, however, is the aftermath. Bro truck or not, that Ram and its driver are a couple of badasses:

I love how the only shots of the vehicles post-accident were the results of "Lemme Instagram dat joint".

The guy in the Ram is going to get sued, I guarantee it.

On what grounds? The vehicle was being operated illegally. Lawsuit thrown out immediately

"Your bumper's off!"
"No 'tisn't."
"Yes it is, look, your whole front suspension's collapsed."
*glance*
"I've had worse."

Only person who could sue him would be the kid's parents, grandparent, or insurance company. Ins. company wouldn't want the negative PR and the other two would have a super slim shot at winning. If they did win, this guy would have support left and right. Best shot at a lawsuit would be the parents and/or insurance company coming after the grandpa.

This is the case with a lot of truck vs car accidents. I myself plowed into the back of a Toyota Echo at 50mph years back in my Silverado 1500HD. The Echo was stopped behind a blind corner for no reason on the highway.
My truck only needed a new grill/lights/bumper/radiator. It barely had a mark. The Echo on the other hand... My truck's bumper was half an inch from the driver's headrest.
The car shattered into nothing and the current owner of the truck (family friend) notes that he's still pulling bits of the echo out 7 years later..

I'm sure there is some lawyer out there who can find a legitimate reason to sue the guy in the Ram. I'm sure the 14 year old kid will get off with nothing more than some time in juvie, but the responsible guy in the bro truck will probably lose out somehow.
I hope I'm wrong.

I seriously hope so. Bro or no bro, this guy had a pretty good idea of what he was doing, and I doubt one could ever claim he endangered the Veloster's driver at such a low speed crash.

It's best if the Ram driver doesn't but if anything... child endangerment.

That's a real stretch, but the easy counter is he stopped the kid to prevent other kids from getting plowed over. The kid was blasting through a park and nearly hit quite a few people.
The only thing I can see happening is some sort of reprimand from the chasing officer. The cop had to go into a panic stop to prevent rear-ending the Veloster.

No disagreement, but we have to remember, people sue for some stupid things.
