My grandfather sold his 34 Ford 5 window coupe a couple months ago and just picked this car up a couple weeks ago. It was outside long enough for me to grab a couple pics.
Car is a 1934 Ford 3 window coupe. car is all original 34 steel. body has never been chopped or had the cloth insert in the top filled. has a chromed out 283 small block chevy with tri-power and a th400 trans. also has 4 wheel disc brakes, dropped axle, sway bars front and rear.
Pics are hiding a 20 footer paint job and I didn't take any pics of the interior because it is atrocious. first mod to the car is swapping the wheels. these just don't look right on this car.
But just some cleaning and it will be a nice driver or be put up for sale for a C2 corvette.

The sale for a c2 Corvette sounds tempting. But a project for the summer sounds good too.

20 foot paint job. In the sign business we have the '80 foot rule' Paint it satin black, who the hell would know?

Take those stupid fenders off, chop, channel, flame!
Just kidding! That's what everyone else does.

God I love hot rods that keep the rumble seat and I love the grill of the '34. This is exactly how I'd build it (except for the crap paint and wheels) if I had any actual car building talent.

we have a busy summer showing our show car. this is that projects first year done.

if we keep it the rumble is probably going away since its so useless in a nice rod. you don't want people stepping on the fenders to get in and they are really not that great of ride back there.

too nice of body to grace with flat paint, going to try and cut and buff it. it that don't work going to flame it to hold it till we can strip it and change the color.

yeah and this body is virgin and going to stay like that if we keep it. you done see many left these days.

no. Sorry. I many paint the sign satin black. Not your car. The eighty foot rule is if you can't see it from the ground at eighty feet, don't sweat it.
