Ralph is creative director for playground games, who make the Forza series. There is no way that either of these accounts would tweet in this manner unless something big was coming. Considering this is playground, who according to their bio is "Currently working on top secret stuff." I think we can expect a Forza Horizon 2 announcement today.

No, Turn 10 Studios make the Forza series. Playground partnered with them for Horizon.

playground made horizon, turn10 had some input but was working on FM5, which is why they now have 2 studios, one for Forza and one for Horizon

Horizons was alright, the Forza sims are so much better though.

Saw this earlier. There was also a tease in Forza's week in review. I'm excited.

Honestly, I'm hoping/thinking it'll be a game similar to Horizon, but more realistic and most likely taking place in a new environment. It'll be boring if it's in the same place, it needs a new environment for me (and I'm assuming other people) to justify spending money on a sequel to a mediocre video game.

Just read the Kotaku article; it'll be set in Southern Europe, probably Spain or Italy.

(And I loved the first game.)

PlayGround needed to use Turn10's licenses to get actual cars in the game. Turn10 agreed and so that's why it's called Forza Horizon.

Turn10 also had input on the tuning system and gave Playground their car models.

I wasn't a fan of the first installment, however, news of the weather system and Drive-a-tards, I mean Driveatars, has me curious to see how this installment will pan out. If they will allow for the same level of tuning that Forza does, or failing that, at least a more advanced system than what we got last time, I could be more interested.

I hear the rally expansion was very good, so there is another plus.

Yup, just read it when you cross posted it! Southern Europe sounds awesome, especially with all the new cars. Hopefully it's a little improved graphically and how the cars drive (it was pretty good before, but could've been better, I think)

And I enjoyed Horizon as well (still play it on occasion) but don't love it the same way I love Forza 4.

I'd have preferred Western Europe myself - largely because there'd be the potential for me to drive around fake-UK, where I come from - but Italy and Spain sound great, and I'm always up for a decent new racing game.

Just read about the weather patterns too, that'll be cool to have it raining or whatever during different races.

Also, I'm hoping they have rally events right out of the box, I didn't buy the DLC for Horizon but I always wished there was some rally cars and stages.

The base game did have a few rally stages, and a few rally cars to drive on them, but there could have been a lot, lot more.

yeah, it had a few, but definitely could've had more, which I suppose is why they released rally DLC.

I pretty much never buy DLC, save the Forza 4 Porsche pack. I just can't justify spending more money on a game after already paying $50-$60 on it.

^Rally expansion was the best thing since DiRT 3, needed more tracks though! Loved how you could rally any car
