Seriously, it felt like my leg muscle fell out of a track like a drawer......only with much more screaming. That was at like 3 in the afternoon. Still hurts like a mother from time to time. Sarcastic Spiderbro has my response.

I dont remember well, but i think it has to do because you're missing some vitamins that bananas have. last time i went through this was about 2 years ago i was having a nightmare seconds before i awake because of that pain....
It is potassium, but im talking about cramps in the leg, i dont know if you mean the same thing.

.....I eat two bananas every day. I really hope it's something else. Otherwise I might be seeing a doctor in the near future for some GI tract issues.

I know Gastroenterological issues well, I am in the very small percentage of people on earth with both celiac sprue disease and chrons disease. I am also the first confirmed documented case of granuloma tissue (chrons inflamation) in the tear duct, here's a post in a medical journal about me:

Im on imuran, pentasa and humira for my crohns, and because of that (thank god) Ive been in remission for 4 years. Im sorry to hear you needed a bowel resection, I was lucky enough that my celiac diet prevented me from needing that. Isn't it weird when a curse turns out to be a blessing?

Wow..that is a LOT of drugs..I'm not been on anything for the actual Crohns since my surgery in 2007. I WAs on Pentasa before my surgery...and before that I was on Sulphsazine...a similar drug...never did the immuno suppressives..They gave me a choice in the hospital between Humira and an operation..I picked surgery..I regret my choice now...because as I Understood it,..my Crohns was only in the small bowel..where it meets the large one..But they took out mostily my large bowel.
I take now only a powder..it's called QuestranLight (brand name) and it is Colestyramine
( the active ingredient) I wish they gave me it before surgery ..It's a good drug to stop Diarheoa..It makes the stool less watery and binds it together..I need it now coz my large guts are shorter...But you should look into it. Not sure what side effects are..I only know If I skip it for a day or so..Everything turns to water..So it definately works. on the symptoms..It's an OLD drug Not widely used these days.
Apart from that..I am just on Calcium tablets..As they say the body struggles to absorb calcium in the diseased gut..This is for the bones and the teeth..It'd a preventative measure.
And Immodium...I don't like this..I feel it's like stopping our car using only the handbrake.
So, Yes..I would say don't do surgery unless you have to. Am glad your diet helped to go easier on your guts..Giving up wheat is a good choice..I think it's hard on the gut.
BTW..Like the pictures..You have a talent there...You planning on been a Car designer???

I dont wanna take questran because my celiac makes me very constipated, so in that regard the celiac and crohns cancel eachother out. Thanks for the compliment on my drawings, and yes I do want to be a car designer, the degree program I am in is an industrial design program.
PS-immodium is not fun to be on
