Junkyard Miatas are not very common in central TX, in all honesty. That being said, this should go to someone who would really love it. Not being a Card Carrying Cult of Miata member, I would only enjoy it briefly and then get bored like I do with most things, I suspect. Case in point: I have a 240sx that I bought to be my new project. I've had it for about 2 months, and have already determined to sell it once I get the exhaust/CAI/engine tuning done. Hence my renewed browsing of Craigslist, and the dirty looks my wife gives me.

Indeed. I know the logical business reasons for an automatic sports car. But it still seems wrong, even though I don't automatically (heh) hate on autos usually.

I feel your pain, I feel it so much. I'm sorry for this happening, the car looks pretty nice actually. I agree with daender about swapping in a tranny from a junk Miata. I (thank the gods) Just picked up a 1994 Miata. It needs some work but it's pretty okay for the price and mileage. It took me months to find a good miata for the price and I hope this is the right one for me. Either way, good luck in your search and you'll find the right one! Miata life is good life.
