Going to a 1000 yard range today for the first time. Pretty excited to see how poorly my accuracy is at that yardage with the 7mm Rem Mag. Gonna be a good day.

I can only imagine how poorly I'd do. I'm pretty good with pistol and shotgun, my rifle isn't so good. Post your target sheets after you're done.

Man, it'd be great to have access to a range with that distance. All the best to you Sir in your 1k yard endeavours.

I'm not sure if we are allowed to put sheets there or not I have never been there. If we are I will keep you posted.

Rose's got a 7mm, and I'm not surprised. I figured you'd like your guns like you like your cars; American, with a lot of kick! I've only ever practiced up to 300 yards with a .270 and I had trouble hitting the 6 inch circle on a target sheet... can't imagine 1000 yards. Also I'm guessing your sweet-ass 700 is going to be more accurate than the semi auto browning I shot, which was by far the crappiest gun I've ever shot haha.
Good luck mate

I don't know about the regular 7mm Mag, but my 7mm Ultra Mag has no problem hitting 1000yd targets consistently with boat tails. Sharp looking rifle with the silver barrel. Good luck!

American with a lot of kick is a way of life 1337. And it was quite an experience I'll need some more practice before I am even remotely good at that range.

Range was live so we didn't go out to pick up targets.

Why are you jealous? You can't get a 7mm rem mag in Canada?

Well you can but:

They also confiscated CZ858s
At least if they ban guns in the US, they let owners keep em.
