For the second year in a row the ST is still wearing it's winter boots until May. I took this picture last week. At least I got a new grill and diffuser out of the deal.

Yeaaaaa I switched two weeks early this year. Was caught in the last blast with Michelin Pilot SuperSports on. They have like 0 grip on ice, especially compared to the Firestone Winterforce tires I had on there. I always tell everyone else to wait until May. Get what I deserve for not following my own advice. At least nothing bad happened.

Thanks. It's a great color to have in a snow storm.

Were those tires on that snowy Volt? Where abouts are you located? (I'm in Saskatchewan)

Meanwhile, I am trying to get the chemicals in my pool right so I can go swimming this weekend.

It bothers me everytime I wash my car. It's actually not as bad as some of the earlier US builds (Canada got them later):

I'm in the Boston MA area. That snowy pic was actually from last winter and I had the OEM all seasons on it. It was just okay, required a lot of attention in the snow but never got stuck. Snow tires made it surefooted and confident, never had a problem going up some very very slick hills where others were stuck. I got out and helped them push their cars around so they could go back down the hill, then with their eyes wide I proceeded up the hill they couldn't tackle.
Got a lot of snow here this year, I'm very glad I picked up the snows.

I run Firestone Winterforce tires year-round on our Outback. They are kinda noisy on the highway, but they have awesome traction in the rain. I don't drive the car much, my wife probably doesn't notice the tire noise, the tradeoff is worth it as far as I'm concerned.
