I opened up a CTS-V on the freeway, and got $100 for the pleasure.
Thanks to Delon Tucker with Don Thornton Cadillac in Tulsa. Great guy - if you're in the area, and in the market for a new Cadillac, give him a ring.

I've got a nice little stir-fry of somen noodles, bok choy, tofu and mushrooms to microwave... but don't feel bad about your cadillac experience just cause my lunch is awesome.

Considering it's in an hour, I have some time to plan. I'm either having Easter leftovers or In N Out. Mmmmmmm.....

I had some leftover Tuna-steak from Easter, it was delish. Along with asparagus and rice.

Or visit your nearest Cadillac dealer.
Jealous of your proximity of In-N-Out... At least there's on in Dallas now.

I poop on the occasion. I'm sure your about to quite a bit more frequently. I had chinese food at 9am during a layover at Miami Airport. O boy did I poop. I;d stay away from Walmart burritos.

Sounds pretty great! I settled for chicken salad from our garageteria.

Just ate a brisket and sausage sandwich from the BBQ bus in our office parking lot. Thanks for the link, I'm going to sign up!

There's one in Dallas? I didn't know they were that far east.

Do it! I signed up a while back on the website, got an initial email, but got no response after that. I just ended up calling the local dealer earlier today and asked if they were still doing the promotion. Luckily caught a great salesman on the phone who was happy to hook me up with a drive.

Yup - opened May 2011. Test market for going nationwide, perhaps?

My coworker let me take his recently overhauled B5 A4 out for a spin. More cars should have a T3/T4 under the hood.

I boringly picked up a couple things at the grocery store.
I did get to open up a 68 Montego this weekend though...

Um... "supercharged OHV 6.2 L LSA V-8, based on the LS9 V-8 from the recently released Chevrolet Corvette C6 ZR1. It produces 556 hp (415 kW) and 551 lbft (747 Nm) of torque"
I very nearly bought a 2001.5 S4 back in 2005, but my oldest brother advised me strongly against it. Probably was the right call at the time - ended up buying an '05 Mazda 3s hatch (which I loved for 7 years and 90k miles).

I've been thinking of doing a Cadillac test-drive to get the $100 gift card. Was it high-pressure? Did you need to hand over a lot of information? I don't want to waste their time by pretending I'm actually going to buy a car.

My guy gave me no pressure at all. I was up front about being there because of the gift card. We had a great chat; he said it was actually refreshing to talk to a "real" car guy and go for a ride with someone who drove the car hard. I talked about taking my car to the track, and we ended up talking about our kids and families, too.
I only took 20 minutes of his time, and had to give him my driver's license, insurance card (it had my VIN on it), email address and phone number. Now we'll see how many emails and calls I get - ha!

I've taken advantage of a couple of other test-drive gift card promotions, but the $100 is what really jumped out at me. I've gotten a $25 gift card for driving a Kia Cadenza, and a $50 gift card for driving a Lincoln MKZ. Thankfully, those were both pretty low-pressure.

Do it. And see if they'll let you drive a V!

Well, it's a possibility. Though I feel like they save the really high-end stuff for people who wear shoes.

Ha! Plenty of rich eccentrics eschew shoes, true?

If you didn't see in the article, you do need to own an '04 or newer non-GM car.

I left work a little early and tried out a CTS Coupe. Pretty snazzy car, except the options are pretty disappointing:
You can only get the manual on a CTS-V, which I can't afford
You can only get navigation/camera if you get the wood steering wheel and wood trim which I don't like
Wheel choices are way to chromey and spokey. Just give me some non-glossy 5 spokes please

I have one of those. :)
