About the only not-asinine response at that would be "but it stops quickly". As in, if looking at a car with shitty p/w, the implication would usually be it's too damn heavy, so brakes would be worth note.
Although... we have a '90 ClubWagon Ford that develops only ~250hp... but with well north of 400 torques. Though, since nobody detunes that badly anymore...
