I'm in Detroit for the week and there's got to be some rad shit to do in downtown detroit, without the aid of a rental car. Any suggestions? I'll be in greektown and at the Cobo center most of the time, so walking distance from there is kind of my range.

Not to get stabbed, that's a pretty rad thing to do in downtown Detroit.
(j/k, I'm sure there are tons of other fun, non-life threatening things to do in downtown Detroit)

Post up some highlights when you're back, I was wanting to go but with school in session I couldn't make it.

Corktown / midtown are more of the hotspots but there is some fun to be had downtown.
Bucharest Grill & Hot Taco are some of my favorite places to get good cheap food, which is nice because the are right next to the bars Centaur & Cliff Bell. American & Lafayette Coney are semi famous coney dog places.
Cafe deMongos is a great speakeasy/dive bar. As for right in greektown, Redsmoke BBQ and PizzaPapalis are quite good.
Hopefully that helps.
EDIT: just realized this is food/drink …. oops.

Not getting stabbed is by far the most popular suggestion.
