It sounds pretty evil at low revs

My mom had a New Beetle Turbo S with the spoiler that would deploy at 45mph. It always sounded industrial, like metal grinding and something was breaking on the roof. Not a pleasant sound to hear every time you went over or under 45...
Also, is it weird I was paying more attention to the Mini in that clip than the Ferrari?
