First time with a DSLR, conveniently tied to a look at my new R33

Because if the title just said First time DLSR filming you'd pass right on through. And I wouldn't blame you. I have set this to autopost in an hour, because the video is processing. If it hasn't processed yet, well, be patient.

Referencing the absolutely A+ post by Blake Noble, you really do need to take the time, it will be hard, and there will be lots of throwaway footage. That said, it was cold and I just wanted one solid take before my battery or I froze solid. This, this is not art. This is not trying. This is just holding a camera and talking.

In order of thought:

I just signed on the r33 tonight. Holy shit. I actually... Own this. Lock stock and barrel.

Complaining will do you no good. I recognize my career as Spielberg/Fellini died a looooooong time ago.

Never use a 50mm prime in close quarters. Especially not with manual focus. Any manipulation of anything that requires one hand will be either blurry or shakey.

The t5i is really a good entry level camera.

The r33 is really a good mid-level JDM learner. I've had a couple, and a couple r32's as well. The 33 is a heavier more sedate car, but has much more torque and amenities. The 32 is a little crazier.

Like if you had a red headed little brother with social problems. Who got put in Judo to help with his anger issues. The 33 has done a semester of college and likes to kick back and cruise the boulevard. None of that juvenile nonsense.

I'm very excited to have it. And I am going to try to keep it. Which will be hard for me. But I will try. For Oppo.

As well, if regular car reviews ever makes way north and gets tired of Odyssey's, they are welcome to have a drive.
