dude trust me, they are the best driving cars ever on Earth. Nothing can hold a candle to an Elise/Exige on fresh, just barely legal Advan tires once warm.

This would be a somewhat daily driver though. Is the build quality that poor that we might want to stay away? I can fix a lot of things myself on cars, but if its pretty complicated stuff we might explore other options. I have no doubt that they are incredible driving cars though.

they are not complicated to work on per say. Things get a but tight of course when it comes to engine work. It's just the little random stuff that does't really hold up. A lot more parts are becoming "expired" or take a long time to arrive. You can do the work yourself im sure, its all basic mechanical. It you do decide on one, swing by your local dealer to check out any recent recalls. I see no direct problem DD'ing one, i'd do it. It can take a bashing on a weekend at the track as well. It's just those little random other aspects of a car that fail way too often.
