I'll be risking life and limb by traveling to Florida later this week to spend a couple days getting my airplane fix. The Sun n Fun annual Fly-In & Expo starts this week. and there's some pretty good events scheduled including the Blue Angels.
There's also a vintage car and motorcycle show included with admission to the Fly-In as well as a First Friday free local event in downtown Lakeland that I'm hoping to peruse.
I think this will be my 8th or 9th time attending and I have even flown myself there a couple times. If anyone has any Oppo worth car/plane content to check into specifically, let me know and I'll try to dig around when I have some free time. If you're going to be around Lakeland this weekend, let me know and I'll buy you a beer.

Have fun and be safe. Anything you are looking forward to seeing? Are you camping?
I camped int he antique classic area at Oshkosh many moons ago. It was awesome. Best time to be at one of those shows is after 5 when lots of folks have gone home and the light is good.

I went to Oshkosh with a friend 3 years ago. We camped, but not in an airplane area. We quickly realized the best thing to do after the show was to take our chairs up to the flightline and watch people leave/arrive. So many cool planes, very relaxing, perfect light/temperature, and we don't have to deal with all the crowds heading back to camp.

I've got a hotel. Last time I camped was Oshkosh in high school. I think I prefer a nice clean hotel room after a long day in the sun roaming an airshow.
I really don't have my list of things to see made up yet. I usually just end up trying to walk and see everything. I'm usually gone by 5 or 6, so I guess I miss some of the best times, but I think i'll be staying for the night airshow on saturday this year, so maybe i'll be able to get a new experience.
