Sorry Mr. Lauda, but in this case I'm going have to go Ralph Gilles on your ass.

Turning up the volume on the TV or removing earplugs WILL NOT change the fact that the engines inherently sound worse.

Wax poetry about how the sound has layers all you want, simple facts of physics say V8 > Turbo V6 for sounds. Every single damn day. The V8 is something you FELT as well as heard. It was a great sound, like the V10s before it, and at least the V8 came by and preserved the loudness.

The V6s sapped that all away. If I want to listen to a fuel efficient car, I'll go watch Toyota, Porsche and Audi race their LMP1 hybrids.

F1 is not about that shit. Its about burning as many dinosaurs as possible in the most explosive and loud ways as possible.

Not yet I haven't, but it could be. I'm excited for Formula E.

If F1 survives past Bernie that's probably what it'll look like in 15-20 years time. Then in a few more years.....
