But at least my make's sport compact comes with a real LSD! Come at me bro!

Fanboy. With all the other FWD sport compacts out there I can't fathom why anyone would buy a Si. It's literally the last one I would choose. Except for the Velocetor Turbo maybe.

I have an 08. So I have a mini F1 engine under my hood. And it's pretty much the only modern SC that's under 3k lbs. Even in sedan form.

The shifter alone makes the Si worthwhile choice. I almost got one to replace my Mazda, but I couldn't quote give up the 5-door practicality yet. And the Si's trunk is quite small.

My make's sport compact made 260 horsepower and tries to kill you!
Damn that's a good picture.

It better be under 3k lbs because it's way down on power to all it's competitors. I suppose the Fiesta ST is a sport sub-compact but it's under 3k lbs.

An accord sport. Has a bigger trunk and comes with a v6 and a really nice gearbox.

Yeah I drove the Sport sedan (not a fan of 2-doors) I really liked it. What killed it for me was the color choice (I know that's stupid) but you can only get a 6MT SPORT 4 door in black, which I currently have and will never do again, or grey...which is blah. If Honda sold a SPORT 6MT in white, it would be in my driveway.

lol. I have an accord coupe in grey. Personally I think it is a great car.

Shame that LSD is at the wrong end...

The Civic SI is possibly the best compact car of 1997. Unfortunately, it's not 1997.

Also comes with a LSD as standard … and RWD. #Fanboy

As Clarkson once said, "...it looks like a squatting dog."
I dig the drop top more.

I still get compliments on it from random people.

I never said I thought it looked like a squatting dog. It's a nifty car and I'm glad Chrysler made it.

I agree they are excellent cars. I just recommended one to s client. I'm just not keen on that color.

I have a friend at school who has an '09 Si Coupe.
My stepdad has a MK6 GTi, and I love that thing to bits, but the Si just shattered my "Boost is better" mindset. The engines that these cars have are just something else. Sure, they're not mind-bendingly powerful, but I now understand the who Honda fanboy "V-Tec, YO!" Thing.
If asked to sum up an Si in one word, it would have to be "Character"
In a class filled with Turbo 2L 4-pots (with the exception of the Veloster's 1.6T, and the MS3's 2.3T) this N/A 2.2 Stands out like a sore thumb!

Understandable.

You should move to Canada, we get the Accord sedan 6MT in white AND blue!

There's no V6 in the Accord sport. At least not the new one. The current one had the DI K24. Still does 0-60 in 6.6 with the manual transmission.

It's a shame the ST isn't really any faster. All that power, where does it go?

Hmm you're right, I thought they had it for sure in the sport, my bad. They do have it in the ex-l v6 trim, and the touring trim though. I thought for sure they had it in the sport version.

The front wheels, unfortunately.

Exact opposite for. Im currently in the market for a 15k used sport compact and cant think of a better option. When factoring in fun, reliability, practicality and resale. Dont trust the american turbo 4's. And really do enjoy the motor and transmission.
