I need to build up a bulk of my food truck money before getting the loan. The wife does not approve of a large work loan before we have a house.

Seems more like an indiegogo thing or one of the other "crowdfunding" platforms that don't have an expectation of return. Kickstarter is more for a project you plan on creating something and can offer backers something in return directly. Kickstarter requires you meet the goal to get any money, indiegogo gives you whatever you raise no matter if you meet the goal.

I'd have to agree with you. Plus I like the way indiegogo operates better anyways. But you still have to offer something in return. Things like shirts stickers dishes named after people etc. I've been wanting to think of something worthwhile of crowd funding, I hope this guy has luck.
