So today I got around to dying the headrest black. After I discovered that the amount of dye for the headrest was too little for the spray gun (learnt that the hard way) after a rather patchy start, the headrest was now either untouched or practically dripping. However I tried applying it with my finger and rubbing it in that way. It actually worked. So now, I have a black headrest.
and that is it now, think we can agree that it looks a lot better.
So now all my other things are prepared and ready for a nice day painting tomorrow. It only took about 6 hours to prep it all today, i would predict another couple hours of prep tomorrow and then probably intermittent spraying for the rest of the day. Also contemplating dyeing the headliner from cream to black to hopefully complete the look.

Cheers, it looks new but at the same time has the essence of a patina to it which is good.

Yeah, patina looks good. Especially on older car such as your Amazon where it suits the age of the car.
