The Chevrolet El Camino and the Monte Carlo were two Malise-era muscle-vehicles that rolled from Detroit to enjoy decent success. Then a customs shop that can still be found at !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! created a body kit for the Elky that transformed it into a Monte-Ute.
Two of my favorite 80s vehicles stuck together?
[heavy breathing]
But do you guys agree? Despite the somewhat anemic engines these Elkys came with, do the looks justify the $1300 price tag for the conversion?

I love it, but I'd rather have one of these-

Looks like an oversized Dodge Renegade. I like it.

GM sure loved their overhangs back then.

I've seen so many of these, I thought it was an appearance package in the '80s.

It's kinda neat and kinda funny looking at the same time. If I had an El Camino and 1300 to blow, I'd probably just hunt for a super cheap Monte Carlo.
