Today, our family drove to another part of town because my parents are considering moving away from suburbia hell (yay!). On the way back, my mom wanted to look at the new Vettes. We passed a Ford dealer and I asked if we could stop because I wanted to see a Tremor in the flesh. Parked in the lot was a single White Tremor, asking price: $42k. A salesman (S) saw my father and I circling the truck:
S: Can I help you folks with something?
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
Dad: Talk to him, TillTheWheelsFallOff.
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
Me: So, how have these been selling?
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
S: Honestly? This one has been sitting here for months. People walk up to it cause it looks souped up, but once they look at the price they walk away.
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
Me: Too small, too much, right?
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
S: Right. I shouldn't say this, but it really isn't worth the price.
After we left, without buying the truck (haha) my dad and I commented on how we'd actually buy from that salesman because of how honest he was. Though we weren't looking for ourselves, my brother needs a car, and if they want to let the Tremor go for cheap, it would be a viable option. I hope it wasn't a sale tactic by the salesman, but if it was, it worked on me.
