I was having a recent discussion about a Front Wheel Drive (FWD) V8 Engine Car.
The only one I can think of is a late 2000's Chevy Impala SS.
Any others?

Look for a Cadillac Seville. the last gen models have a 32 valve 4.6 V8 driving the front wheels.

1970 Cadillac Eldorado had the alrgest production V8 at 500 cubic inches......IN A FWD CAR!
Oldsmobile Toronados of the time looked better, but only had the 455 cuibc inch "Rocket" V8. Toronado is pcitured because it looks cooler.

Oldsmobile Aurora
Pontiac Grand Prix
Chevy Monte Carlo
Pretty much any big GM sedan before Pontiac was finally murdered.

Caddy Eldorado starting in '67. In 1970 you could get a 500 cubic inch V8 with front wheel drive.

Can't forget the lancia Thema 8.32 - it packed a Ferrari V8 up front but was based on the Saab 9000 so it was still FWD.

How about a Lancia with a Ferrari V8 and a 5spd?

Sorry, I was referring to the Seville STS. I drove one with the L37 that was chipped with a few performance mods. It did 0-60 in around 4 seconds, owner said on the dyno he was getting about 475hp. Keep in mind the fastest thing I'd driven before that did 0-60 in 9 seconds.

There were a few large caddies in the 70's (Eldorado, I think?), there's also the Olds Aurora, the last gen Pontiac Bonneville, last gen Monte Carlo SS, the Olds Toronado, basically anything large and GM.
Oh and also the '96-'99 Taurus SHO, believe it or not.

Bonneville, too.

You can throw in the Cadillac Eldorados in there, too. My '96 has 187K and no head gasket problem (they're actually not as prevalent as you would think and as stated above mostly resolved after 2000.

How about the Olds Tornado - first V8 FWD car I know of. Jay Lenno has one that's hopped up :-) Taurus SHO (later models) is another I think.

1970+ Cadillac Eldorado and Olds Toronado come to mind. Nothing like a big block FWD in a land yacht.
