5k for a two year old 9-5? Damn.... That's what I'd have to pay for 2004 BMW 316i Touring

no way, 99-02 converts all day long up here $2000-2500! 900's are even worse, 500-1000

A 2011 9-5 would be 300-350k NOK here... divide by 6 (to get the numbers in Dollar US).. So yeah...

Wait, so was it a Second Gen 9-5 (2010-2011)? Because if it was a 9-5 NG with 42,000 at 5 grand then that would have been a pretty big steal.

The average NG at that mileage goes for around 17-18 grand.

Now if it was a Gen 1, then even that's a little fishy, since they go for around 11-14 grand with that kind of mileage.

Was there something seriously wrong with it?

This was wholesale trade in prices at a dealer a few years back (maybe one). Saab had just folded, so this was likely not the NG. He just kept offering them to me saying no dealer wanted to touch them, so they were paying nothing.

Ok that makes sense. Yeah, with the bankruptcy and it probably being a gen-1, that price was probably warranted. Especially considering the only parts being made right now are for the 2008+ 9-3 and the 2010-11 9-5 NG.
