Just got through reading !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! of the Z/28 on a track.

Kinja'd!!!

Is this not one of the most blue blooded Jalop machines made today? I mean, its everything we would have done with very little bean-counter or government compromise.

Manual only? yup

500+ N/A hp? yup

Big loping idle? yup

High revving? Yup

Coolers and functional vents and scoops EVERYWHERE? Yup

Its even got smaller diameter wheels for better track use.

it is...in short...all go and no show.

I don't care if you don't like the Camaro, this car is the business given the modern automotive landscape we live in. I just can't believe that cars like this are still being made. That its a beast on the track and actually a very good drive is just gravy in my books, the real triumph is the fact that they even built it.

CP

"Lows:

Pricier than a Corvette without being faster, looks like a V-6 Camaro inside."

Not judging the value, just the Jalopness. This quote does it nicely.

"Camaro chief engineer Al Oppenheiser claims the Z/28 team "took out everything that didn't make it go faster or wasn't required by law.""

Non functional vents in front of the rear wheels.

very true, though the brakes are vented. I always hated that feature...but im on record as saying that the overly retro camaro is a turd design wise anyway

Stamping those in may, in fact, reduce the weight. It's just never been mentioned or asked.
