It's a raw, balls out sports car. It's just so connected, tactile, and amazing fun to drive.

Need at least one with the HR engine and the 7000rpm redline.

You can then spend the 20 k you saved on building and adding more power, tires, suspension, brakes, and then going and raping 370Z's.

My dad owns one of the 40th anniversary ones and the rev-match thing seems tacky, but holy crap is it mindless fun.

03-05 6400rpm redline
06 7000 rpm redline
07-08 7500 rpm redline

So technically non hr engine in 06 meets your standards.

Now shameless plug for my most recent shenanigans.

I really wish Nissan would put a VK in a 370Z. There's the old G37 coupe but that doesn't really count. Seriously, imagine a stripped out, hardcore 370Z with an P2 specish VK engine. I know it wouldn't happen, but just imagine....

There are a ton of VK swapped ones out there. But that's not the purpose of the Z. It's supposed to be smallish and affordableish. I think a V8 option added in would complicate the formula.

It's too heavy now to say that. I mean it weights around 3300+ pounds. Lighter than a 3 series coupe, but not light enough to make up for the horse power deficit it has against the Mustang. And it doesn't drive nearly as good as the BRZ/FR-S, so you have this poor, expensive compromise between the two. Not saying the chassis has potential, but at base price I'd go for the other two cars I listed.

The 370 doesn't have the same feel as the toyobaru but it will corner much better in terms of straight speed.

Well what are you waiting for? How much is the Nismo version? $45,000+tax? Get that one and your lust cycle will be complete!

I would say it probably isn't as polished as the Toyobaru twins, but I'm not sure that it's "not as good" in the handling department. It's a lot more raw and involved. I'm sure to some people that's not good, but I prefer it that way.

No money's. And the Nismo doesn't have fangs. I love the fangs. I need like an 08-11 one with the sport package. That all I need for a DD.

I would not call it sloppy at all. It is blunt, but as long as you wield it appropriately that can be just as affective.
