I took the day off for a doctor's appt this morning. I took advantage of the time off, and the nicest day we've had since I don't remember to work on the truck. I replaced the broken tailgate latch and added a GM locking mechanism to it. I also replaced a frame brace that had rusted out ($78 for a damn steel tube with a hole at each flattened end!!).
Now the bad news. I took the snow tires off, and while putting my regular tires back on, I noticed they've got freaking dry rot cracks in them! They're not even 3 years old, and they're stored inside when not on the truck. I guess that's what I get for buying cheap tires (Kellys).
Balls!
I was pissed off and I had a headache, so I didn't tale pictures.

Then I assume I shouldn't be embarrassed because I don't know what Kellys are?

They're just a brand of cheap tires.

I was thinking it would be good to take mine off this week. I had both lower control arms replaced and they did an alignment, soi thought it would be a good time. I ran out of time though so I didn't. This morning I had to drive an hour home at 6am in a blowing white out with partially to fully covered roads. Did I mention that it rained ( freezing of course) all night, so the roads that were bare and dry yesterday were wet and ice covered this morning...
