This looks like a scene from the opening few minutes of a coming-of-age teen movie about a road trip on which Raph rolls a baja bug, Jason is reunited with his stolen beetle, and it all ends with Matt scoring his dream job as the editor of a reputable automotive news outlet.

Typical Hollywood stuff.

Ext. Desert
A road disappears into the horizon. An engine can be heard in the distance, and soon a car becomes visible. Closer and closer it comes until it speeds past the camera out of view. Screeching tires and crunching metal can be heard, and then the sad constant wail of the horn on a dying car. (Pan to accident) Out from the wreckage crawls Raphael our protagonist. He dusts himself off, looks to the car and gives it the "rock on" salute. Turns and walks to camera, exits right.

Title card and opening credits: JALOPNIK: ALL OUT a film by Brett Ratner
