Sure, when people tend to ask a question on Oppo about what car is best for situation x or y I'll usually suggest some sort of BMW, but I won't say shit if you completely disregard it.

You wouldn't believe the badge snobs you'd find on BMW/Audi/Benz forums... Funny thing is some of the snobs drive base model 328xi's (not even RWD), A4's (FWD CVT), and C250's (4matic + auto tranny only = slow)

No offense taken. I do have an auto transmission so the rest of the family can drive in case of emergencies. I love my 250. It's a great DD, and can be tons of fun to throw around curves.

Didn't they only make the C300's with a 6MT?

I only have experience in an auto C350 that was on a built suspension (coilovers, thick sway bars, etc.) and it was a BLAST! Way way better than my stock bmw.

Yeah I'm in the US. I think mercedes discontinued the 6MT on the C300's after the 2012 MY. There's a 6MT 09' for sale near me for around $16k. Might try to talk my sister into picking it up!
