Mel Brooks is an absolute genius.

I know what my bachelor weekend binge is going to be. Brooks-A-Thon is ON.

I like lots of his other works, but I didn't really enjoy that movie when I watched it at a young age. I think it's time to give it a full reconsideration.

I was the same way with High Anxiety. Didn't really appreciate it until I was in my 20s.

1) Blazing Saddles
2) History of the World, Part 1
3) Young Frankenstien
4) Spaceballs
5) The Producers
That would be my list anyways...

History of the World, Part 1 was the first R-rated movie I ever saw. I went around saying, "Hump, death, hump, deat..." for ages with no clue what it actually meant. The dead parakeet scene still cracks me up.
Jews In Space. I still want to see that movie.

Ehh... it was okay... When I can only easily quote one line ("Let's get out of this ladies clothing and get into our tights!"), I don't classify it as a memorable movie. These rest of those I can quote for days.
I liked the rest of his movies (I refuse to acknowledge "Dead and Loving It" as the work of Mel Brooks), but I don't really have the desire to watch them over and over like the list above.
Really, I rank Blazing Saddles as one of my favorite all-time movies.
