Thinking more about the end goal I want for my truck in terms of cosmetics, and after some thought today, I'm not convinced getting the old paint stripped off, the whole truck body worked, and then primed and painted is the way to go. I (and many of you apparently) love the weathered look of the paint, but it feels like it just needs something more. So what are ya'lls thoughts on shop logo'd trucks? I think they add a nice touch to weathered looking trucks, and I think it could look nice on mine. Not sure what I'd put on it yet, but something to the extent of "Johnson's Hot Rods" or something of that nature?

I like the shop logos also, but in many locales it's not allowed or is frowned upon due to homeowner association rules. If that is not the case, then I would say develop a super-nice logo and go for it!

Go for it. I'm a huge fan of those. Definitely hand-paint it too!

I have been pondering doing a shop logo on my '64 chevy pickup for "Improbable Garage" which is a term I've used for my car/prop stuff for a years. It is even the name of my blog .
If you do one, research period logos and try and take cues from those. I see a lot of trucks with logos that look wrong because they are completely anachronistic to the truck itself.

Your truck may be my favorite truck in the world if you do this...
