WTB: Katana Shift Knob

Anyone know where I can buy a Katana shift knob?

I know you can get training bokken with wrapped handles for something like $15 on Amazon, and I also know I could buy the adapter for my shifter. I do not, however, have faith in my ability to mate the two in a way that would work.

I've also scoured the web looking for one, but it looks like most people opted to make their own, and it doesn't appear that anyone is selling them. Maybe I missed something.

(Also, yes, I know that some of you...maybe even most of you...would find this sort of thing gaudy and/or impractical, but I'm past all that. It's no less practical than those dildo shifters, and I think it's a helluva lot less gaudy...I think they're pretty cool).

On my buddy's BRZ we took an old 30mm shell his father had and machined an aluminum insert that threaded on. On this, I assume it would be similar, except it's not a nice round hole so you'd have to work quite a bit to shape it to the inside of the handle.

Lol that's interesting. I'd just make one and make it much shorter. It isn't that crazy difficult to make a shifter.

Custom gearshifts are a dime a dozen. If you don't trust your ability to make your own, find someone to do it for you. I like the challenge of doing my own customizing. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't, either way I learned something. But when it works, it's spectacular!

go to your local pawn shop, by the cheapest Katana you can fin with a cool looking handle. Cut the blade off. drill a hole in the bottom put in a threaded insert.
