I put in a ticket with TrustedSource, which does the filter categorization for McAfee's Web Gateway, and got us unpornified, so I could read Oppo at work without a proxy workaround.

We were a porn site?

According to McAfee, we were.

Was going to say "how did we get a porn classification" then I remembered NSFW.

We aren't that Porn-Y. Occasionally some super Nsfw material shows up on the site, and in the handbook it says that this isn't a porn site.
Anyways, that's what Nsfw is.

It's an interesting conundrum, really. My assumption is that the site is crawled and certain images are recognized for what they are. Probably there's some % of content threshold that must be crossed in order to achieve the "p0rn" classification, or they simply count the instances of "NSFW."
In either case, mathematically speaking, McAfee's original ruling was not incorrect. On some level they have to be very black and white about this. You couldn't get very far with "Your honor, I'm not a drug dealer, I just sell drugs sometimes" for example.

i've heard of people who hate our freedom. we don't negotiate with terrorists.
(was gonna post something from 'sexy patriot' google image search that i feel could be on either side of nsfw; didn't post it because methinks you're not trying to change the rules, just the classification & i can dig it. ) because very few of the nsfw's go too far. most are covered sexy ladies, and boobs are naturally the best part of life. sometimes there's ham wallet, but not very often.
