When browsing with Chrome on my Android based Kindle Fire, if I long press a link and select "Open in new tab" from the pop-up window, not only will the link open in a new tab but it will also open in the tab I'm currently in. It doesn't happen with the Fire's native Silk browser.

Do you use Chrome on it? I had the same problem with the Chrome app on my Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 tablet...

Yes, I sideloaded Chrome onto it. It only happens with Chrome, the Kindle's built in Silk browser works just fine.

Add this to the one in a thousand glitches. My least favorite is that links and comments don't expand/open on the first touch. I have to hit the link or comment several times before it responds. It's crazy odd.

/Because why test in a sandbox?

I have a strange issue on mine since the newest Chrome update (came out about a week ago) got rid of the three grey bars in the top right, so i can no longer share tabs or duplicate them or the likes.. but if I go back to the previous version it has your problem where it changes both the new tab and the original. I reported the issue to Google since I dont know whose problem it is

Seeing as how I have absolutely no issues with Chrome aside from this, I think it's a coding compatibility issue on the Kinja end of things.

iPhone, safari (very latest build; just updated a few days ago. Not sure what the numbers are. 7.1 for iPhone, but not sure what Safari is)

Where are you clicking exactly? I'm using an iOS emulator and can't reproduce, and I'm clicking all over the place.

On the comment/expand and or reply. I just tried on a few articles and it seems to be working. Maybe the issue has been resolved. This was an issue from a few days ago.

Thanks for looking into it. I do appreciate the rapid fixes being implemented. Even if the initial roll out was extremely frustrating.

Noted that one already, thank you. Still compiling affected device/browser combinations. Let me know if you find any more reports!
