I got Kinja'd sorry that this is completely useless and late.
For those that missed or don't have access to the qualifying information for the first race of the season, here are the times.
Vettel had a problem with his software that messed up his times, but come on is anyone really sad about that? But Mr. Smiles himself Daniel Ricciardo qualified second! I knew this kid had it in him! Since testing he has been the most consistent of RedBull drivers, and quick. We will all need to watch this young man.
But something that even I didn't see or predict, Torro Rosso with both of it's drivers in the top ten? What alternate dimension did I just walk into? I know that Infiniti RedBull was asking them questions and for help but what? James Key is the Technical Director for Torro Rosso and has jumped teams a lot, obviously that jumping and knowledge gaining is starting to take effect. Honestly I would love to see Torro Rosso compete in the top spots.
McLaren, what the heck happened? You guys were doing so well in the first couple practices and throughout testing? Ok, when I say McLaren, I really me Jenson Button, because Magnussen qualified 4th. Jenson had the speed, and I don't know where it went?
Ferrari did well, but not anywhere where they would like to be. Alonso qualified 5th behind the rookie Magnussen which is not great but at least in the top 10. Raikkonen has obviously been having some difficulty reigning in this new car. It also puts him in a disadvantage coming back into Ferrari after so many years out.
The Hulk did exactly what I figured he would do, be in the top ten, but not on top. He did well and he will definitely pose a challenge in the middle of the pack come tomorrow.
Who didn't do as expected was the Williams team. Massa, Bottas, what happened fellas? You two were doing so well. Massa at least made it into the top 10, but only just.
Sadly, my team, Lotus, has been plagued by problems and no capital that I don't see them continuing next year unless they fix everything in a hurry. At least last year they had a good car, and the team of Grosjean and Raikkonen gave them a fighting chance. This year I don't see that at all happening.
Next up is the race! Who's excited!

Oh, in super excited. Thanks for the rubdown. Without cable in not able to see qualifying, still not even sure about the race tomorrow. I'm hoping I can find it online somewhere tomorrow since I don't have nbcsn, and I can't get sky here in the US.
