It's impossible for me to tell he's a driver.

So how the hell is the person responsible for the security of the infield supposed to be able to discern that the midget in the tracksuit is a real driver, and not someone who just went and bought a suit online? har har har, look at him do his job correctly, what a buffoon...

I agree, but Lewis won't be carrying a lanyard in his race suit.

Don't know why the announcers were laughing, I don't think anyone could tell.

the cameras following him is a bit of a give away.
I think the support event drivers have passes.

I forgot he was too important to have something as mundane as a permission slip with him. Seriously, A) I need to stop trying to type while drunk; I make and subsequently poorly correct too many mistakes, and B) he can get service animal passes for his dogs, but can't be troubled to show his face or an ID to the guy in charge of who gets through? Might as well start calling him the Beiber of the racetrack

Yeah, I can't fault the guy too much, but the 30 cameras, plus the dead accurate outfit, seems to point to him being a driver. And how else is Hamilton supposed to prove that he's a driver other than clearly being a driver?

Lol!!!

His pass wouldn't have worked anyway, even if he'd been carrying it. The paddock turnstiles know if you're "in" or "out". Since the only way onto the track is via the garage, and the only way into the garage is through the paddock, he's "in". If he tried to come in a second time (according to the turnstile's records) he'd get the sad noise.
I've accidentally tried to double enter the paddock before. I left the paddock through a non-turnstiled back door in the media center and was denied when I tried to come back the regular way. Luckily, I knew where the door was and could call someone on the radio to come open it for me :)

I agree. They just demonstrated to any overzealous fans, or terrorists, or anything in between, how to get past security. If an overzealous fan got past security and bothered Lewis Hamilton, I'm guessing he'd be pretty vocal about security problems.

I can't believe the guy didn't know who he was.. It says RIGHT THERE!

All he had to do was simply look at the floating captions!

This needs to have this song as soundtrack

You can't blame him, though. Even if he turn around it he might have have noticed it right away, since it would have read "NOTLIMAH"

True. Clearly the security guard isn't an avid F1 viewer!
