I've always wondered if the landings are as soft as they look in those trucks.

Dusty will be able to answer that better than any of us.

I think it mustn't be as hard as a rallycar's landing but not at all as easy on your back as it looks. I mean, rallies have one or two big jumps per stage at most, while trophy trucks jump a lot more.

I haven't ridden in a trophy truck like the ones pictured, but in a really well setup long travel truck, big jumps like that are surprisingly smooth if you land it at the correct angle. That might also have something to do with how harnessed in you are, of course.

Hit one at a bad angle, or if the nose dips down too much, and the resulting bounce can be very violent. You'll walk away a little sore after a bad one.

In short, yes. If you launch off a sharp kicker or stuff it in a hole or g-out on landing it'll still wind you, but for the most part they're ridiculously smooth thanks to those brillian bypass shocks. I've hit 60 foot jumps and not realized it until I saw the photos

The jumps in the gifs (the third in particular) have good landing zones and good angles. From inside the truck you'd barely notice the landing.
