We had one, but bought it used. Not sure if Dad grabbed this from the dealership as he was eyeballing them a year earlier, or if it came with the car.

It ended up being my first car. Gold. Bold. Hatchback.

47 MPG!

Holy crap!

I know the car was super light and had a tiny engine. But damn that was still very impressive.

My dad purchased a '78 his after tiring of the gas mileage of his '70 Olds Delta 88 with the 455 "Interceptor" motor. I never got to drive it, as it was soon totaled when a lady failed to stop at a stop sign. My dad never wore seat belts up to that point, despite me nagging him about it. After he found himself upside-down with his head on the brake pedal, he started using them

My parents had one of these. I think it was a '79 or '80. Silver over burgundy velour. It was a really good car
