I have always fancied the look of the Detroit on the GTI. I've been searching my local CL and can grab a set for a couple hundred duckets.
I'm contemplating mounting them on my B6. I'll need spacers and my buddy can shoot them whatever scheme I like.
What say you Oppo?

I really like those, so I say go for it

Same, I'd keep the stock wheels on a Gti at least. No customs for me! I need a Gti in my life. What are you running on the B6 currently?

Detroits are the most beautiful wheels ever made.

I'm thinking of reversing the colors. Grey inserts with a black face.

Some beat to shit stock set up. I was looking at something like this too. But it's been done so many times.

If you want some ideas, I've got a thread for my B7, the wheels all should fit the B6 also. That setup looks nice though.

I'm not sure about the grey inserts. How about red? Like the grill.

I've always viewed these wheels as a modern interpretation of the "phone dial" wheels of the 1980s. I really dig them. It sucks that they are ~22lb/wheel, though.

Detroit, u say? i've always called them potato slicers, or phone dials.

Still tossing around some ideas.

The weight is an issue.

I kept coming back to that thread today. Some really good ideas there. I try to DIY a lot or do something most don't think of doing.

What color is your Passat?

Here's an idea. Porsche wheels, I've seen it done, but rarely. A little DIY to make them fit, but it's deffinately possible.

Dark grey A4 1.8t Quattro. I'm going with a black and grey theme. Blacked out tail lights, grille, etc. The only color on the car at this point is an Oppo sticker and Seahawks sticker. I'm in Seattle.

That sounds expensive but doable I suppose. I'd have to see the spoke. The weight would be lighter compared to 20 lbs Detroits.

Yeah, phone dials would be the cheapest. Set of 4 on the West Coast for $250, Don't know how good they would look on a B6 though.
If only Rh wheels were cheaper.

Ah. My bad. When you said B6, I assumed. Anyway. I've seen those in all black. Teh sechs.

I don't mind spending a little scratch on a nice set of shoes. I just don't want to see the same set up on every B6 I pass on the road. So yeah no on the Momo and BBS.

Yeah, I don't like being identical to every other A4. Only Bbs Ch, and Rs4 reps are the only set ups I see.
Check out Ecs tuning and Harttman!

I got it! Stealies!

That's the spirit! I'll bet there isn't a single B6 rolling around with full time steelies! Go for it, Pep Boys spinner hubcaps also!

Oh yes. Or the ones that look like little Teddy Bears.

Much yes. Tanzies, I think.
The flower ones are quite nice also.
There is a zero percent chance anybody will have those (Except drunken stupors)
Edit: Wait a second, the flower and teddy bear wheels are from different companies?!?
