Clearly means? I'm not getting that implication at all. I think she's talking about the media circus and big of a deal it is whenever anyone comes out. It's not 1997 anymore.

Also, I'm having trouble finding out when she actually said this so take it with a grain of salt as it could be one of the many celebrity misquotes floating around.

To be fair, she asks a question then makes a joke. Jokes don't always have to align 100% with your personal beliefs.

I make terrible jokes all the time and I don't think the chicken should be anywhere near the road as they have terrible road awareness.
