Technically, that's a cowl hood, not a hood scoop.

I've told this story here before, but my mom used to work at a Ford dealership and when the SN95 Mach 1 came out they had a white one on the showroom floor. I must have been about 12 or so at the time and I was just getting really into cars so I was pretty excited to sit in it. Even with the seat fully raised I couldn't really see over that shaker hood. Those Mach 1s still stand as my favorite cars.
