"An illegal street stunt driver known as 'The King of Nazeem Neighborhood' was sentenced to ten years in prison, 1,000 lashes and a lifetime driving ban Tuesday on charges of reckless driving.
The three presiding judges voted to reject the death penalty two to one. The Prosecutor-General objected and vowed to have the case reviewed."

They don't fuck around over there anymore when it comes to catching saudi drifters.
I think the death penalty is a bit extreme, and the 1000 lashings is pushing it, but 10 years in jail (and I'm sure its not the same level of comfort as a US jail) should be enough to deter most people.

Wow. 10 years is about right. That works out to one lash every 3.65 days.
