A Baby-Renegade is in the works, using the Fiat 500 platform.

That's if you believe a quick report by !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! . The car would be important to lower the overall Jeep fleet CO2 emissions. As of now, no suitable platform is available, but this might change with the new Fiat 500. The rumoured Baby Renegade is to be built in Italy, right along the new 500.

Mike Manley, Jeep CEO, is also hinting a large SUV, called Grand Wagonner. It should offer seven seats and be larger than the Commander.

What do you think of both ideas? I am not sure how far you can stretch the Jeep label, but Mini proved there is no limit to go big and leave the original ideas behind. The Grand Wagoneer sounds entirely plausible to me.

So, the Grand Wagoneer would be a new Jeep Commander

Kinja'd!!!

It failed last time for Jeep... and with the way gas prices are going, I don't see it working again.

A baby Renegade would be cool if they made it a two door. I want two door SUVs (CUVs) back on the market

I expected people to hate this, but I'm seeing a lot of people warming up to it.

Seen that story in Autocar, last week.

I'm okay with it, as long as it won't look boring.

Here's an idea.

I don't see why wouldn't Jeep offer a 7 seats rival for off road cars like the Toyota Land Cruisers, future Land Rover Defender, GL and things that are less capable but still ofer 7 seats, like the Tahoe, GMC, Q7, Highlander, Pathfinder etc.

Jeep, along with Alfa Romeo, is one of the two core, global brands, from the business strategy, FCA will detail in May, so Jeep's mission won't be to simply compete with Land Rover in global markets, it will be to compete in every SUV segment there is. Big and small.

Renegade and baby Renegade are for people who wouldn't otherwise consider a traditional Jeep. Moronic barks of old Jeep fanboys are irrelevant to sales.

That looks like a Jeep that crashed into a smart that was put on a Hot Rod Chassis. Not boring, but not what I personally would consider beautiful.

It looks like Chrysler was just trying to do a mash up of Jeep and their GEM brand of golf karts. So this thing would be more at home on fairways and mall parking lots than anywhere else.
