So for those who read this: !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!
The interior is pretty terrible nothing that hopefully can't be fixed though:
I am thinking I might need new seats...
And I had to dig it out with a shovel. Anyone know how to get a car out of neutral when you can't find the keys? Pretty sure the engine won't turn over either. Could I even get the damn basket case into neutral? Thanks guys.

It's a bigger concern if it won't shift, that age ford shouldn't lock the shifter with the key off. I can move my 68 into any gear I want without the key.
The seats actually don't look bad at all giving the circumstances...

If you just want to free the engine from the wheels you can pull the driveshaft. Still probably won't be able to push it around if one or more wheels/brakes are seized.

That front seat - I've seen worse. Might even be able to use the original foam - quick 'n' dirty fix would be to cover the foam with pinned or sewn sheets or the like, cut off anything outright rotten, and put on a seat cover until you can afford some reupholstering.
I take it by what you're saying that it has an ignition interlock on the transmission lever? Odd to see one that early. If it does, that column may need to come apart - which has to happen anyway if you're rekeying it. The other way would be to disconnect the linkage and move it manually, but the easiest place to do that (on the trans) is impossible to get to in your case. Still might be possible elsewhere - in the engine compartment or under the dash.
I'm heartened to see that the floorboards, et al appear to be intact. They may be less than they appear, but they're at least not completely trashed.

too bad that glass was busted for so long, the back seat doesnt look bad at all. the front is probably just messed up from exposure. Like Montegoman said it should shift without the key, so something could be seized. Soak the connections with ATF for a bit, that should free them up enough to get it out of park

No the seats just smell bad, terrible actually. But yes I was able to get it to shift. Never been in a car that old so I had no idea the column didn't lock like modern cars.

I was finally able to get it after I talked to my mechanic we go to about the problem. I just didn't realize cars from that age didn't have locked shifter columns. The seats aren't terrible. Pretty comfy actually. I will hopefully be able to save those.

I was able to rip out the carpet and the rear floor boards are actually quite solid. The front has a few small holes. Nothing a little welding and some sheets of metal can't fix. I did get the column to shift to neutral after I realized the column doesn't lock. Originally when I was moving it I thought the column was broken.

I am a little worried the brakes are seized now that it is in neutral that is the other problem,

Thanks buddy I'll need advice for sure. Don't get too excited yet though! If this engine doesn't fire up and has a cracked block I might have to scrap it or sell it. We can't have a car sitting around the yard if it doesn't ruin. I am praying it works I would love to drive this old Capri!

Oh you can fire that old lump up. If it is seized pop the plugs out and put ATF all up in those cylinders

That's the plan!

Good, I'm glad you got it to shift.
I'm happy to provide any tips or sources for old Ford parts for you. Mine's a bit newer but it's not that far off.
