Just buy an extinguisher. Or always wear a racing suit.

I don't know about you, but that particular review wasn't really funny. The stuff with all Mr. Regular were much more entertaining.

I owned an 88 GT for about a year and a half. I really wanted a 280Z, but didn't have the money and I wanted a fun car. I found a Fiero near my house that was in amazing shape and was pretty cheap. I bought it with the plans of owning it for a year, maybe two, at which point I would be out of school and should have the money for the Datsun I really wanted. After replacing the motor mounts and doing some suspension work, I really took a liking to the Fiero. The handling was fantastic! You could use the throttle to go between understeer and oversteer very easily, which made it a great autocross car. The V6 sounded great, the sunroof stored in the frunk (which was great because when you would go to pull it out people would stop and ask if you had engine problems), and I was even getting 24mpg! After about a year of ownership I already had long-term plans in my head as to how I was going to make it faster and handle better so that one day I would feel comfortable taking it to a track.
But, I let a friend use it for an autocross event and the throttle stuck open and it ended up hitting a retaining wall at about 30mph, so there went my aspirations and the Fiero. It was seriously a fantastic car though and if I had the money I would buy another one in a heartbeat. I don't have any money though because I now have a 280Z.

I've got a 280z and I'm working on a 5.3 swap with a T56 I was going to daily drive the fiero lol

The recall book on those things was thicker than Kirstey Alleys thighs. You are a crazy man.

I have a friend who daily drives a 4 cylinder Fiero in Michigan. He just puts on some snow tires and fills the front with cat litter and off he goes! He only slid off the road once lol.
At this point I'm just trying to get my 280Z running though. It was in pretty rough shape when I got it....

Here's the thing. All the people I've known that had a Fiero, didn't have one Fiero. They had enough parts cars that all together there would be two complete cars and a junk yard that would cover half of Canada. So there's that.

Yea, it was bit of departure from the norm, but I still enjoyed it. Still, it made me want a Fiero and I don't know why.....LOL
