Anyone have any idea what this thing is? Randomly saw it driving south on the 110 today. Pardon my dashboard reflection.

Not sure why everyone thinks this is a C-Class but this is clearly a E-Class W210. Mercedes didn't sell C-Class Wagons in the 90's in the US. Looks like he chopped the part after the door off of the wagon and made it into a pickup truck. Cool.

No dude, it's obviously a C class.
(Yeah it;s obviously a 96-01 E class. I think it might even be a facelifted one; I think that's a turn indicator on the mirror.

I believe those are CLK taillights as well.

Funeral flower car?

No, those are the later generation "facelift" tail lights. Nice AMG mono blocks or similar if I am right...

Definitely face lifted, the tail lights are the obvious bit.

I believe these are used in movie recordings. The cameraman (crew?) sits in the bed.

Hmmm, interesting. I know they use Mercedes SUVs for filming with the giant camera arm on them, hadn't seen one of these though. Pics?

Actually, it reminded me of this:
Which is a modified Mercedes Viano.
