A friend spotted this camouflaged test mule with Michigan plates on Sunset blvd. in LA yesterday. My guess from the lower grille is that it's some sort of Toyota, maybe a 2015 Camry?

Does anyone know why they always have the windows open? I've seen a lot of test mules and they ALWAYS have the windows down.

I don't have the answer, but the side mirrors seem like a big clue to me.

I don't think so, many of them are minimally camouflaged. Lots of times they just have the badges removed.

99% sure this is probably a new Passat or something along those lines.
All VW Company cars have Michigan Plates, and they commonly use crazy patterns. The front lines look Passat-ish too.
