This is not a serious movie. Keep your Pulitzer Prize winning critiques at home. Its just good fun. Its an honest and worthy sequel to the original one trick cheese fest of an original. Just enjoy it. There are enough slow motion AWESOMESAUCE scenes in this movie to provide the internet with GIFs for years.

well, that and the battle plan. my teacher disappeared in the beginning of the year for two months, so this unqualified sub was teaching this, but what I recall is that a very similar battle involving boats did take place.
you are right though, history and this movie probably diverge wildly.
