So being older and having a big boy job has it's advantages. On the one hand, I have income. On the other, time is not as abundant as before. This is not ideal for some hobbies! As such, I've taken to cataloging my gaming backlog...
- Red Dead Redemption (80% Complete)
- InFamous (60% Complete)
- Castlevania: Lords of Shadow (<50% Complete)
- Castlevania; Mirror of Fate HD (0%)
- Ico (0%)
- Shadow of the Colossus (0%)
- Dishonored (0%)
-GT5 (You never really finish...)
I've decided to dangle the "You can't get a PS4 until you finish these games." carrot in front of myself, but I'm not quite as motivated as I had expected... I either need more time or I need to buckle down, stop watching Netflix, and actually try to finish some of these. It's odd how when I was younger I'd knock games out faster than I could buy them.
I-think-I-can-I-think-I-can...

Same, I've never really got 100% completion on a game.

I have more incomplete games in my list. Most at around 10-20% completion... ADHD and two or three jobs gets in the way of finishing things...

Wait til you have a big boy job, a wife, a house to maintain, and a kid.
BOOM video games once a month for 15 minutes lol

I know exactly how you feel, I have had Saints row 4 since Christmas and have only had a couple hours to play it so far... I think work should allow for a video game day once a month at least where you stay home and game all day..

My son (first) should be born any day now. Needless to say, I've been savoring every minute I get with the PS3 of late.

good! take the time while you can!
First few months are easy by the way. You'll stress about everything and then look back in a year and go...damn it was easy when he didn't move around on his own! All they do is drink and sleep for the first few months. Congrats man, get ready for a crazy ride!

Wait'll you have kids. I still haven't got through the single player mode on Forza 4. Kinectimals has taken over our game central. By the time THEY go to bed, I'm exhausted and just want to hang out w my wife for 30 minutes before WE crash.

Sounds more like my PC collection.
"Let's fire this one up..." Never Plays it Again

There's a few I've worked to do 100% on over the years, but mostly I just want to finish the main part of them. The terrible part is all of these are GREAT games... I just can't find the time to sit down like I used to.

Yeah, in Gta 5, I've got the main career down, but everything else, I haven't really had time to play around with.

Can't I just have a big boy job, a wife and a house? Because that's all I really want.

Ugh. One thing at a time. I clocked 50 hours in 4 days at work this week... Just the big boy job is good for now. Maybe a house next. I heard those are easy.

Yeah, I really think that should be a thing. I think that's the part I really struggle with; even on my weekends I still have stuff that needs to happen. If I had a day that I could completely write off once in a while, that would be great.

Yeah... when you have some serious characters in three MMOs, a Steam library of 150+ games and really enjoy iRacing more than anything... stuff gets left by the wayside...

It's weird what the effects of a big boy job have been on me. I have far more free time than I did in school, but that's gotten me into more hobbies. Therefore, I actually have less free time than I used to, and more places to throw my income #firstworldproblems
I usually finish games I start, but I don't start nearly as many as I used to. Just finished the main quest of Stick of a Truth, it's the first story driven game I've played in months.

The house comes in waves it seems. Especially if it's a house built within the last 15 years....because all of your appliances start quitting at the same time.
Winter (at least up here in Michigan) means a lot of driveway/sidewalk snow removal
Spring/Summer/Fall means a lot of yard work.
And I have to work in time to work on the 68 Montego.

I haven't even considered upping to the newest systems. If I barely have time for my old games, how would I find time for a new Xbox One?!
![]() 03/10/2014 at 09:47 |

Yes. Until its the only way to play newer games (that I may get to in 10 years...), I'm sticking with the 360. and not the XBONE.

Haha, I'm letting the xbox live membership go dead at the end of this month, i'll just continue all my old games...

I have a live account, but not Gold. I've never played on-line with the account.

I used to play a lot of the typical shooters, but lately it's been all sports/forza.
When I played the shooters I was online constantly.
Now i'd rather not be shouted at by 12 year olds and just play in peace when i get the opportunity, haha.
