That is actually a thing. When they are super young babies have a swimming like reflex, they know not to suck in the water and stuff like that. Pretty interesting shit.

I can't do it without goggles or closing my eyes, even swimming underwater without holding my nose is an issue. I was also a weak swimmer for much of my youth, so I'm sure that has something to do with it. Now it doesn't matter much anyway, since I'm blind without my contacts/glasses and I can't open my eyes underwater anyway with the contacts in.
