"axelbacks" are a thing? I think we just call those...mufflers.

Just remove your exhaust after the cat. It's fast and cheap, plus it saves weight. :p

Cheaper than the one you're looking at and probably sounds better. http://www.roushperformance.com/parts/Mustang-…

No has to be a full exhaust, but BOSS 302 H-Pipe isnt out

Corsa is a well-liked exhaust for my car, they make a good product form what I hear.

I heard an MBRP system a while back and it sounded amazing. Pretty cheap too IIRC.

Also, a tune & off-road H or X pipe with stock axleback will very likely make it sound even meaner and make more power than the axleback

If you really wanted to go crazy there is a square tip version that comes with it's own rear valance.

Kinja'd!!!

Or just go shopping on the website: http://www.roushperformance.com/parts/mustang-…

You would be hard pressed to find anyone that knows mustangs better than Roush too.

Muffler delete! Unless you are planning for headers and stuff later down the road.

Roush axlebacks all the way, nothing even comes close to sounding as good.

Well, a muffler delete can void the warranty as much as an axleback, meaning that it won't unless something breaks related to the exhaust, like a hanger.

As for noise levels it shouldn't be to loud, do some research though, because they are a very cheap option compared to an axleback. And unlike 4 cylinder cars, it will sound great!

well ive read into it the axelbacks wont do diddle to warrenty also frpp parts dont void warnty

I've got a 2013 GT. Love the car! I just put the Pypes Pype Bombs on mine. They are muffler deletes with resonator tips. I really love it. The only problem is that there is some drone right about 2k rpm. It doesn't really annoy me though. The best part is the noise they make above 3k rpm. Those things sing like a race car. There is a guy at work who has a 2014. He did the GT500 axle back. They sound really good, but I think he is a bit jelly of how loud mine is. Also, I daily mine about 60 miles. I love every single mile with these things. Totally worth it, and i'm already considering getting the factory resonators removed for more sound.

Like how bad ishe drone cause I have to drive the car 200+ miles 2 times a month

Kinja'd!!! GTCL > Cherry_man1
03/06/2014 at 18:09

Kinja'd!!!1

It's bearable. My car has the stock 3.33 gears in it, so if i ride right about 70 it will drone. Above or below by 5mph and there's no problem. I'd say look and see how often you're riding right at 2k in 6th gear.

I meant 3.31 not 3.33. just got to typing too quick.

Thats nice but then in the fine print they fuck you over.

If you could try and get a boss 302 exhaust and take the side exit plates off

Kinja'd!!! Cherry_man1 > TheD0k_2many toys 2little time
03/06/2014 at 19:41

I would want a 2013 because of the new IL law that says you have have hands free when talking on a phone. and 2013's are still high. So I may just order the boss exhaust from ford.

fr500s exhaust? Maybe that's just the 05-10's I'm thinking of. It sounds great on those, so if it's offered for the 5.0 you should give it a listen.

I wish it was, its not. it was a 05-10 thing only.

Just my .02 cents from another Illini - Ya can't go wrong with a Corsa! No drone anywhere in the powerband. Quiet and stealthy with a slightly deeper note at low speeds and cruising. Loud as hell at WOT! Corsa was my first choice till I heard Billy Boats Fusion, but I like my exhaust with a deep rumble all the time and painfully loud at WOT.
